12/31/2003: "HAPPY NEW YEAR . . . and, eh, new blog"

Happy New Year! This is our blog.

We are celebrating New Years at home this year -- although we did go out for dinner. I had our son Thomas try sushi and sashimi -- only to find that he really likes it (as long as we skip the soy sauce and wasabi). This evening will be spent "blogging", watching Dick Clark, having a little ice wine, and keeping the kids up until ridiculous hours so we can pretend we are out at a wild party in addition to having family time!

It's been an amazing year. We went to Disney, both our kids were "Star Citizens" at school, we had a best ever trip (annual trip) to Niagara Falls. We also did our regular Frankenmuth trip, our 4th of July in Clawson, Cub Scouts events including camping, and now Brownies (can't wait for the Girl Scout cookies). Christmas as always was amazing -- from the family celebrations to the private celebrations all were great. By the time the holiday break is over, I'll have over 500 pictures -- starting with putting holiday lights in November, and presumably ending with New Year's and some just post New Year's shots.
